Threaded sleeves with M4 female threads for screwing or gluing. Torn cord threads in the base can be drilled out, the sleeve can be screwed in, and further secured with Loctite. The battery can then be easily screwed in and out without difficulty. The sleeves are also ideal for pushing into the Gen 2 Segway PT casing. Simply remove the torn sleeve and replace it with this one. Apply some 2K adhesive, and the casing can then be closed with the standard screws. Some DIY skill is a prerequisite for such repairs. Otherwise, there is a high risk of breaking more than fixing.
